Starry sponsorship deal for School of Business

Dundee will have an extra Star in the city this year after the University of Dundee and the ice hockey team Dundee CCS Stars renewed their innovative sponsorship deal.

The University, through its School of Business, will be sponsoring an international player by offering a scholarship on the MSc in Management programme, meaning the player will have the opportunity to earn a degree while they are with the Stars.

“We are delighted to continue our association with the University, which makes a real difference to the quality of player we can attract to Dundee,” said Steve Stirton, Sponsorship and Marketing head for the Stars.

“The opportunity to add to their education while they are here in Dundee is something that is a really attractive proposition, adding extra value to their time here. We are already working to recruit a player to come and make an impact on the ice and at University.”

Dr Lissa Monk, Course Director of the MSc in Management degree, said, “This is a really innovative form of student recruitment! We are delighted to work with the Stars to bring a very good player – and student – to Dundee.”
