Dundee students honour DJ Scott Mills

Dundee University Students’ Association has honoured BBC Radio One DJ Scott Mills by naming one of its main rooms after him.

The popular DJ was at DUSA last night (Wednesday Sept 9th) to play host to thousands of first-year students for the third year in a row as part of the University’s Freshers’ Week. While there he was asked to cut the ribbon on the newly named Scott Mills Room, one of the main meeting spaces in DUSA.

Scott said, “I always love coming to Dundee, there is always a special feeling about the place every time I come up here that you don’t get anywhere else.”

DUSA President Tim Hustler said, “Scott Mills has been a huge inspiration to many students up and down the country due to his success in the industry.  DUSA has its very own student radio station, DUSA Radio, where many students aspire to be like Scott and he has been great in supporting us and coming to play in Dundee.”

DUSA Radio streams online 24 hours a day, seven days a week and hosts an annual radio marathon where presenters take up the challenge to stay awake for 55 hours to raise money for the student-nominated DUSA RAG charity. To follow how much they raise this year follow #DUSAlive55
