Dundee on the rise in Guardian league tables

The University of Dundee is among the fastest risers in the 2016 Guardian University Rankings, released today.

Dundee is placed 38^th in this year’s rankings, up nine places from 47^th last year. The ranking reflects strong student satisfaction scores at the University, which has been consistently rated as offering the best student experience in Scotland.

The University was in the top ten in the UK in Medicine (4^th), Dentistry (7^th), Mechanical Engineering (7th), Fashion & Textiles (7th) and Mathematics (8^th) and top 20 in several subject areas including Design & Crafts (11^th), Education (11^th), Geography & Environmental Science (12^th), Philosophy (13^th), Civil Engineering (14^th), Physics (16th) and Art (20^th).

“I am delighted to see Dundee rising in the Guardian tables, which continues a strong run of league table performances for the University,” said Professor Pete Downes, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dundee.

“The Guardian rankings strongly reflect levels of student satisfaction, which of course have been high at Dundee.”
