Nursing and Midwifery tackle racial equality
The School of Nursing and Midwifery have shown their commitment to promoting equality and diversity among their staff and students with the establishment last year of a Steering Group set up to devise and implement an action plan to embed the principles of equality and diversity in every-day practices.
In December last year a pilot study on racial equality was carried out under the lead of the Dean, Professor Sheila Hunt and Associate Dean Mrs Heather Marr. Feedback from the pilot has been extremely positive and the School has already taken steps to review their policies in relation to equality.
