Greenfield receives honorary degree
The acclaimed Professor of Physiology Baroness Susan Greenfield has been conferred with the
Degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) by the University at a ceremony in the Bonar Hall. During her visit
Professor Greenfield also presented the Drever lecture to an audience drawn from the University
community, talking on the subject of 'The chemicals of consciousness.'
The Drever Lecture in Psychology is an occasional event to honour outstanding psychologists and
to promote understanding of psychology in the local community. The lecture commemorates James
Drever, 1910-1991, first Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University.
