Artists address wind farm controversy
Although the work of Dalziel+Scullion is rarely found in the 'white cube' environment of the
typical art gallery, advertising billboards are a particularly unusual exhibition space.
But billboards across Scotland will be the sites displaying images from one of their latest
commisions during May of this year. In this series, produced in collaboration with Deveron Arts,
the internationally renowned artists and University researchers will be addressing the topical
issue of wind farms.
Another unique collaboration has come about for Dalziel+Scullion, as a result of a commission to
mark the opening of the new concert hall in Perth. For this project, they will be working with the
award-winning composer Craig Armstrong and the Scottish National Orchestra. The artists will be
producing a large-scale video projection to be shown in the venue during the SNO's performance.
This month will see the exhibition of a commission from Norwich School of Art and Design and London
Film and Video Umbrella. The work, a new video installation, will be on show throughout February
at Peterborough Digital Arts.
