Fundraising success for comic relief
From cake and candy sales to a 'guess the baby' competition, staff from across the University
pulled out all the stops to raise money for this year's Comic Relief fundraising event.
The Faculty of Education and Social Work held a 'Wear Red Day', with Jim Menzies, Maintenance
Assistant with the Works and Grounds Unit, winning a bottle of champagne for the most original
outfit. Almost £200 was raised by the faculty.
The School of Design office at DJCAD raised over £400 by selling cakes, and fining staff who were
not wearing red and students who signed in late. A Comic Relief sweepstake also took place with
Head of Design Jeanette Paul scooping the winnings, which she donated back to Comic Relief.
Nearly £600 was raised by fundraising activities held at the McKenzie building, including a 'guess
the baby' quiz and cake sales.
