Jim Cruickshank intimation

Purchasing Officer Jim Cruickshank recently passed away after a private battle with cancer.

Joining the University in 1992 from the procurement side of the Ministry of Defence, Jim went on to establish a team of very hardworking and effective purchasing professionals. His skill in his role, together with his hard work, saved the University millions of pounds. He was not only an excellent leader of the purchasing team, but also a great character, whose entertaining presentations will be well remembered.

Jim was also well known within the Scottish and national networks of purchasing staff for his contribution to joint working between Universities.
