New appointments

• Professor David Boxer, Acting Vice Principal has now been appointed Vice Principal (Research and Enterprise) for a period of three years.

• Professor Chim Lang from the University of Malays has been appointed to the chair of Cardiology.

• Peter Stonebridge, Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer has been appointed to the chair of Vascular Surgery.

• Dr Peter Mossey, Reader in Orthodontics in the Dental School has been appointed to a personal chair of Craniofacial Development and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.

• Gareth Fisher, Senior Lecturer in the School of Fine Art has been appointed to a personal chair of Fine Art.

• Elaine Shemilt, School of Fine Art has been appointed Reader.

• Dr Andrew Roberts, Department of English has been appointed Reader.

• Dr Robin Vaughan, Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences has been appointed Reader.

• New Heads of Departments are Graeme Hutton in Architecture, Dr James Williams in Philosophy, Dr Trevor Harley in Psychology, Professor Alice Belcher in Law and Professor William Saunders in the Dental School.
