The University of Dundee has been a very popular venue for conferences this summer with international meetings in Mathematical Biology, the Annual Conference of the Society of Reproductive and Infant Psychology, the British Geotechnical Association's conference on Foundations, the Annual Concrete Meeting and Therapeutic Approaches to working with Children organised by the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
Over 1,000 international delegates enjoyed the excellent facilities and catering at the West Park centre and the University received letters of congratulation with particular compliments to West Park conference and catering staff
Professor Mark Chaplain, organiser of the international conference on Mathematical Biology said "All our delegates enjoyed their days in Dundee immensely. I didn't come across one problem during the conference and the sun shone for the duration. I am very grateful to Eve Anderson, Lisa Robertson and the team at West Park for providing such outstanding organisation and service for our international visitors. Many of the conference organisers took advantage of Dundee's yourist attractions and hinterland to entertain delegates. Visits across the conferences ranged from days in St Andrews, to distilleries and dinner on the Frigate Unicorn.
