Secrets from the sea: lessons from leading underwater photographer

Students, staff and sub-aqua enthusiasts have the chance to learn tricks of the trade from one of the UK’s foremost underwater photographers at the University of Dundee this week.

Gavin Anderson, who has more than 30 years of experience capturing the likes of Great White Sharks, Leafy Sea Dragons and Fur Seals under the surf, will present a lecture on some of his most exhilarating experiences on Thursday, 1 March at the University’s Dalhousie Building from 6pm – 8pm.

President of the University’s Sub Aqua Club, Aidan Urquhart, said, “We are delighted to welcome Gavin to campus. He has unparalleled knowledge, working across the world, from the Solomon Islands to Sudan and anyone with an interest in photography or diving won’t want to miss this.

“The event is ticketed however all proceeds will go towards new and existing gear for our Sub Aqua club.”
