Satellite images show the power of Storm Ophelia

Images captured by the University of Dundee Satellite Receiving Station this morning show the striking true size of the most recent ‘weather bomb’ to expected to hit the British Isles within hours.

The three images (captured by the Meteosat satellite at 9:00 GMT on 16/10/17) demonstrate how the UK could be in for a rocky start to the week as it is almost dwarfed by the oncoming Ophelia.

The images are free to use but MUST BE CREDITED to 'NEODAAS/University of Dundee'.
