Careers Service in double award win

The University of Dundee’s Careers Service has taken home two awards at one of the sector’s major awards ceremonies.

The team from Dundee was triumphant at this year’s Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services awards in Nottingham last night (Wednesday, 8th September).

They won the Research Informed Practice Award for their study into how their modules help to increase graduate success. They also received the award for Technology. This was for introducing blogs into their careers modules that allowed students to build up an online portfolio on WordPress.

Shona Johnston, Head of Careers at the University of Dundee, said, “We are delighted to have taken home these awards. This is fantastic recognition from our peers that we’re doing the very best for our students.

“To know that we are examples of good practice in our field is an amazing achievement. We will continue to work hard to help and encourage our students to reach their career goals.”

AGCAS Awards for Excellence encourage, reward and share good practice amongst higher education careers and employability practitioners, and their partner organisations, by promoting high-quality, creative, innovative and collaborative projects and high professional standards across the full range of careers and employability work.
