Snow Patrol degree postponed by illness

The award of a honorary degree by the University of Dundee to Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody has had to be postponed due to illness.

Gary was due to receive his honorary degree from the University on Friday June 24^th but he has been hit with an illness that has meant he is currently unable to travel from his home in California.

“I am heartbroken to miss the Graduation, and also the chance to see Northern Ireland playing in the Euro Championships, but I am hoping to make it back to Dundee at the next possible opportunity,” said Gary.

The University will award Gary his honorary degree at a future graduation ceremony.
