The University of Dundee has raised £991 for local charity Home-Start Dundee at its Annual Candlelit Carol Service.
Almost £1,000 was raised in aid of Home-Start Dundee, a charity that supports families who are experiencing stress or difficulties in the local area.
The University Chaplain, Reverend Dr Fiona Douglas, said, “The money we have donated to Home-Start Dundee was collected as an offering during the Carol Service which took place at St Paul’s Cathedral.
“It was a wonderful ceremony and has been made even more special as those who attended know that their offerings will help those in need.”
Alison Kettles, Senior Coordinator at Home-Start Dundee, said, “We are absolutely delighted by the donation. It goes beyond our expectations and we are so grateful to the University and those who attended the carol service, as it means we can continue to provide emotional and practical support to young families.”
