In 2016 we began a project in collaboration with the University's Centre for Anatomy & Human Identification to digitise specimens from the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum. Smaller specimens were scanned using a Nikon XT H 225ST micro CT scanner, while larger specimens were captured using hand-held structured light scanners (Artec Eva and Artec Space Spider). The resulting 3D models are hosted online via Sketchfab and are available for viewing and downloading worldwide under a creative commons licence.
