D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum 3D - Blaschka Glass Starfish Larva Model
D’Arcy Thompson acquired a set of Blaschka’s exquisitely delicate glass models in 1888. In Growth and Form, D’Arcy refers repeatedly to the art of the glass-blower, perhaps thinking of these very models.

- DUNUC 9326 - glass model of a polychaete syllid worm, thought to be Autolytus cornutus (= Proceraea cornuta) developmental stage 1.
- DUNUC 9327 - glass model of a polychaete syllid worm, thought to be Autolytus cornutus (= Proceraea cornuta) developmental stage.
- DUNUC 9321 - glass model, thought to bestage 2 of the Sea Butterfly Tiedamannia neapolitana (= Gleba cordata) development history.
- DUNUC 9325 - glass model of Polychaete worm in its developmental stage - Terebella conchilega (sand mason worm, aka Lanice conchilega).
- DUNUC 9324 - glass model of Polychaete worm in its characteristic tube - Terebella conchilega (sand mason worm, aka Lanice conchilega).

Scanned with a Nikon XT H 225ST micro CT scanner. The resulting file is exported as an stl. and imported into Zbrush. Texture is added from photographs using the Spotlight function and Polypainting.
