Juliette Bonneviot

Artist Juliette Bonneviot, born in Paris and living in Berlin, is interested in ecology, especially “dark ecology” (including work by writers such as Timothy Morton, and speculative realism philosophers such as Jane Bennett). Her studies led to the realization of the emergence of gender studies and the timeline of chemical development being synchronized Following her own chemical and material research, Bonneviot creates works that are made up of somatic, technological, cultural and atmospheric elements. She seeks in her practice to look at things from the perspective of materials rather than that of humans.

Bonneviot holds an MFA from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and has recently shown in exhibitions in London, Vienna, Berlin, Malmo, Istanbul, Munich and Glasgow. In 2011 she undertook a residency at MAMA in Rotterdam and her work has been featured in BOMB magazine, Frieze Magazine, and the 12th Biennale de Lyon.
