Students at a medical school will face disciplinary action if found guilty of dishonesty after admitting to researchers they were prepared to forge signatures and falsify patient records to get through their studies, it emerged last night. Walter Williamson, secretary of the faculty of medicine and the Dundee Medical School, said safeguards to deal with dishonesty had been put in place since the initial research was published in the British Medical Journal in 2001
