Primary Seven children, from Craigiebarns Primary schoolhave made surprise welcome gifts for delegates reflecting their own lives in Dundee. The art work utilises the techniques employed by established artists such as The Boyle Family, Kurt Schwitters, Jenny Holzer and the Fluxus Movement. Delegates have come from a number of countries including Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, South Africaand Japan.
Suzanne Zeedyk, conference co-organiser said: "This is an excellent way for children to welcome international visitors to their home and learn about welcoming people from other countries. We take great delight in the City Council's willingness to sponsor a civic reception that allows the children, their families, and the delegates to meet another."
The conference, which runs from 9-11 September has been discussing a variety of infant issues including surrogate pregnancy, post natal depression and the effects of breast milk on children's learning.
