School pupils and industry are fusing at the University of Dundee this week to discover how chemistry works and how it is essential to the powerhouse of industry.
Pupils will meet chemists from industries who will demonstrate their experiments and explain how science is integral to their business. The companies will display a variety of interesting and different experiments which will hopefully encourage pupils to think about choosing chemistry as a study and career option.
Over 450 school pupils from Dundee, Perth, Fife, Arbroath and Monifieth will attend the event over three days at the University of Dundee.
In this year's Chemistry At Work event the University of Dundee will host four companies.
SILBERLINE: Based in Fife, this company has been operating in Scotland for 25 years. It boasts 3 Queen's Awards for export. Silberline is a major manufacturer of aluminium coatings & suppliers of car paints to automobile industries.
