Commitment, enthusiasm, innovation and inspiration were just some of the terms used to describe the teaching skills of a University of Dundee lecturer this week when he was named as the winner of a prestigious national award.
Professor Chatterji of the university's Economics department was named as a joint winner of the prestigious annual Learning and Teaching Award.
The award is open to all courses in Economics and Business related subjects, of which there are literally thousands in the UK and Professor Chatterji was delighted to have been successful commenting: ''I am delighted at the news. It is a real triumph for the Department of economic Studies. I could never have written this course without the strong collegial support and continuous interaction with all of my colleagues in the department. The support of my family on whom I tested some of these ideas was equally invaluable"
Professor Chatterji will receive his award at the forthcoming Developments in Economics and Business Education Conference to be held later this month.
