29 October 2003
Photo opportunity 2.30pm, Wednesday 29 October, Carlogie Primary School, Carnoustie.
Children in Carnoustie will experience the talents of renowned recorder player Piers Adams as he leads the pupils in a recorder playing workshop Recorder Rave.
Hosted by Piers and pianist Howard Beach, the pupils will be put through their musical paces.
The children will have the opportunity to take part in the final evening concert performed in the University of Dundee's Bonar Hall on Thursday 30 October.
With reviews like "staggering" (Gramaphone) and "Beyond virtuosity into the realms of improbability" (Classic CD), the concert promises to be recorders like they've never been played before.
Tickets for Thursday's performance are available from Graeme Stevenson, University Music Co-ordinator on 01382 348148.
