Mike Watson MSP and former Scottish Minister will today (Friday 31 October) give an intriguing account of his work as a minister and the first term of the Scottish Parliament.
This event is the second in the annual New Scotland: New Politics? lecture series run by the University of Dundee's Department of Politics. The presentations feature established political figures discussing issues relating to post-devolution Scotland.
The member for Glasgow Cathcart, former Dundee High School pupil and life peer is author of Year Zero: An Inside View of the Scottish Parliament exploring the first year of devolution.
Dr Alex Wright of the University's Department of Politics said, "We'd like to welcome Mike Watson to the University and thank him for giving this lecture. It is particularly interesting to have someone who has inside in-depth knowledge of the events leading up to devolution."
The lecture will take place on Friday 31 October in the Conference Suite/Training Complex, Tower Building, University of Dundee, at 1pm.
