Fundraising theatre company Act IV will be joining in the fight against heart disease tomorrow evening by staging a comedy in aid of the University of Dundee's Institute of Cardiovascular Research (TICR).
The curtain will rise on Sand Castles, a light hearted seaside comedy by Bob Larbey, at 7.30pm in the Gardyne Theatre, within the University's Gardyne Road campus.
Tickets cost £8 and are available from the Central Booking Office (01382 730786). All proceeds will go to the TICR campaign to raise £3.5 million for a unique institute at Ninewells Hospital which will bring together clinical and research expertise in the fight against Scotland's number 1 killer.
£1 million has so far been raised and work on the first phase of the new institute has just begun - the creation of clinical research rooms which will allow interaction between research staff and patients. The new facilities will be completed and ready for use in February 2003.
