photo opportunity 11am, Tuesday 30 October, Lower Foyer Gallery, Duncan of Jordanstone, Perth Road, Dundee.
The annual portfolio exhibition opens on Monday at Duncan of Jordanstone showing the future talent of the students with a sneak preview of the first year's work.
This exceptionally popular exhibition is organised to coincide with Duncan of Jordanstone's open days. Exemplary drawings, paintings and designs by students from first year investigate and explore structure, colour, form and function, with results which often show extremes of creativity, ingenuity and imagination.
Bob McGilvary, drawing and painting tutor in the school of fine art said: "The selection of work we have on display is representative of the standard across our first year students. The exhibition will give visitors and potential applicants an idea of the standard and breadth of work we look for. This exhibition is also an exciting insight into the talents and skills of our first years which will be nurtured and developed over the next four years."
The exhibition opens on Monday 29 October and runs until 9 November in the Lower Foyer Gallery at Duncan of Jordanstone. The gallery is open from 9.30am until 8.30pm Monday - Friday and closes at 4.30pm on Saturday. Entry is free and open to the public.
