Photo opportunity: 11.15am, Monday 3 November, TICR Office, Department of Medicine, Level 7, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
Shona Robison Dundee East MSP and Shadow Minister for Health will lend her support to the University of Dundee's TICR campaign on Monday 3 November with a tour of the Department of Medicine at Ninewells Hospital.
She will also speak with Dr David Newton and Dr Faisel Khan who have recently investigated the link between a damaged endothelium (the inner lining of blood vessels) and the poor life expectancy of people with critical limb ischaemia (a condition in which blood flow to the legs is restricted).
Dr Newton said, "An important job for TICR is to improve the fate of patients with critical limb ischaemia by investigating how their problems develop and by identifying effective treatments."
Shona Robison will meet with University Professors Annie Anderson, Jill Belch and Hugh Tunstall-Pedoe.
