20 November 2002
Photo opportunity 3pm, Wednesday 20 November, Sainsbury's, 1 Baldovie Road, Dundee.
A photography company will contribute to the fight against heart disease today and hope the cash they give will save lives and let more people keep their memories for longer.
Making Memories photographers will donate £320 to the Institute for Cardiovascular Research (TICR) at the University of Dundee. TICR recently embarked on phase one of the institute - creating clinical research rooms and is now pushing its fundraising to raise another £2.3 million.
The photographers raised the money by donating money to TICR for every market research survey completed for their company in the Sainsbury's store. TICR is Sainsbury's chosen charity of the year.
TICR will receive an additional£500 today from the Dundee and districts bowling clubs ex-presidents association at the Sainsbury's presentation.
Charirman of the TICR fundraising committee Robert McLaren will be in Sainsbury's to receive the cheque from Dorothy Aird of Making Memories with Robert Moffat, manager of the Sainsbury's store.
