The University of Dundee will today dedicate a tree to the late Queen Mother in a special ceremony in the Geddes Quadrangle.
University Chaplain Fiona Douglas will say a few words and the tree will be dedicated by convener of the University Court Mr Larry Rolland who will unveil a plaque.
The Queen Mother was the first chancellor of the University of Dundee from 1967 to 1977.
The ceremony takes place in the newly re-landscaped Geddes Quadrangle - first laid out in the early 1900s according to a plan by botanist and "father of town planning" Sir Patrick Geddes.
Following the ceremony university museum curator Matthew Jarron will lead guests on the first of a series of historic tours of the campus which will launch to the public over the graduation week in July.
