Textiles student Keith Wooldridge from the University of Dundee has brought Scotland's national dress firmly into the 21st century, taking inspiration for his kilt designs from Scotland's club scene.
Keith's creations were modelled by two local hunks in Dundee last night at the Freedom Hairdressing Fashion Awards. Keith twinned kilt and baggy trousers to create a contemporary feel, but kept the Scottish theme strong with a bold saltire on the jacket.
His second outfit gave the kilt a funky edge, teamed with boots and a street-wear style coat.
Students from 3rd and 4th year of the Printed Textiles course at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art showed off their creative talents with an impressive display of garments at Circus Nightclub.
Keith won joint first prize for 4th year with Kirsten Watters. The third year winner was Anne Beattie, while 3rd year Lorraine Lawrie was highly commended.
