The Dundee University Islamic Society made a number of awards at the weekend to people who have contributed to the society's success over the last few years.
Awards were presented at the society's annual dinner to Dr Abdullah Shehab; President of Dundee University Islamic Society (DUIS) 1998/2002, Dr Ayyub Patel; Senior Member of DUIS 1998/2002, Mathew Marr; President of DUSA, Professor D M Chisholm; Vice Principal of UOD 1989/1992, Dr Barak Askari; Senior Member of DUIS 1998/2002, Mr Khalid El-Awaisi Senior Executive Member of DUIS1998/2002.
Muhammad EL-Awaisi was proclaimed the most active member of the society as he takes up the role of vice president of the society.
