Discovery Days Poster Exhibition
A new poster exhibition featuring the cutting edge research of 18 of the University of Dundee's
most recently appointed professors opens at Sensation today (31 March).
Topics range across all disciplines from middle ear implants and child development to diabetes,
derivatives and the history of gambling - a mix which University Chancellor Sir James Black,
Scotland’s only living Nobel scientist, has described as "intellectually electrifying".
The work illustrated was presented to the public at the University's Discovery Days in January
when all 18 professors gave showcase presentations of 15 minutes each sharing the excitement of
their work. The days have quickly established themselves as a highlight in the University calendar,
bringing the diversity of research at the University of Dundee to a wide audience of academics,
families, friends, alumni and the wider public.
This display also includes The Discovery Days Showreel: Inspiration and Discovery - a DVD of
stunning images celebrating the communication of science through art.
