Donation to cancer research

Members of the Broughty Castle Lodge will present a cheque for £500 to the University of Dundee's
Professor Julian Blow to help fund cancer research.
Professor Blow is a Principal Investigator in the University's School of Life Sciences and is
Chairman of the Dundee Cancer Research UK Cancer Cooperative. The money will be used to further
Julian’s cancer research into chromosome replication that could help identify targets for
anti-cancer drugs.
Julian said "I would like to thank all the members of Broughty Ferry Lodge for their donation to
Cancer Research. It is a great privilege to receive support for our research from the local
community of Dundee."
Broughty Castle Lodge No.486 was established in 1868.
