Condolences for Spain
A book of remembrance has been opened at the University of Dundee for staff, students and the local
community to record their condolences for the people of Madrid.
University Chaplain Rev Dr Fiona Douglas said: "It is important that at a time of great tragedy like this we
can give our support to the Spanish people even in this small way of sending our condolences. We want to let
the people of Spain know that others round the world recognise their great loss."
The book will be open all week in the University Chaplaincy on Cross Row and will be open from 8.30am until
4pm to the general public. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle in remembrance for the
victims of the Madrid bombings.
The book will be sent to the Spanish Embassy in London in a couple of weeks time.
