Lorraine is Dundee's new Rector
Lorraine Kelly is the new Rector of the University of Dundee. The result was announced this evening
(Friday 27 February).
Lorraine beat Lesley Riddoch and David Shayler to the post of Rector. She will hold office for three
years representing the students on University Court.
The inauguration ceremony and "drag" will take place later this Spring. Lorraine succeeds Fred MacAulay as
the Rector of the University of Dundee.
President of the Students' Association Chris Bustin said: "We are delighted that Lorraine won the election
and we are confident that she will be an excellent representative for our students.
