'Champions League' final in Dundee
Photo opportunity: 3.00pm, Saturday 27 March, Sports Hall, Institute of Sport, Old Hawkhill, University
of Dundee
Forget 'Marvellous Marshall' and Ronaldinho. The real football action takes place at 2.00pm this Saturday at
the University of Dundee's Institute of Sport and Exercise when the final eight teams meet in the University's
5-a-side Champions League football tournament.
The eight faculty group stage winners (one from each faculty and one staff team) will meet in fierce but
friendly competition for the Inter-Faculty Trophy. The trophy, at over 40 years old is one of the oldest
sports trophies available for competition within the university.
The hopes of University staff are carried by a team from Estates and Buildings who were worthy winners of the
Staff group stage. However they are sure to find the youthful energy of the student faculty teams a stiff
challenge.
The winning team will be presented with the Inter Faculty Trophy by Dundee United legend John Holt at
3.00pm.
