A lucky shopper will have the chance to raise cash for the University of Dundee's TICR appeal and bag £400 of goodies for themselves in the process thanks to Sainsbury's supermarket.
The chain's Dundee store in Baldovie Road, Claypotts, has adopted TICR as its charity for 2002 and has organised a trolley dash to add to the £1450 already raised by the store this year.
Tickets are £1 and will be on sale at Sainsbury's this coming weekend, March 23 and 24, and the following weekend, March 30 and 31. All proceeds will go to TICR.
The draw will take place at Sainsbury's on Wednesday April 3. The holder of the winning ticket will have one minute to cram as much as they can into their trolley, up to the value of £400.
TICR chairman Robert McLaren said, "We would like to say a big thank you to Sainsbury's for the commitment they have so far shown to helping TICR reach its £3.5 million target. We encourage shoppers to buy a ticket and try their luck, while helping us in the fight against heart and vascular disease."

The Institute of Cardiovascular Research (TICR) has been established in Dundee to create a centre of excellence with the aim of helping to beat heart and vascular disease. Research is ongoing but £3.5 million is required to successfully establish a research centre, the building of which is expected to begin at the University Medical School's Ninewells campus in around 2 years.
Major commitments have already been made from the University of Dundee (£202K) and Scottish Enterprise Tayside (£200K)
The campaign has been running for a year and £1/2 million has so far been raised.
