International audience for students' assocation

Dundee University Students' Association will take their sensible drinking message to Italy later this week to be discussed at the Club Health conference. The Association's Deputy President, Chris Bustin will be joined by Information and Support Services Manager, Kathy McGillivray in giving a presentation to the 200-plus delegates.

The bi-annual event, which allows representatives of entertainment and nightlife organisations from across the globe to meet to share and discuss issues of mutual concern, will take place in the north Italian town of Rimini. DUSAs presentation, 'Sensible drinking?' will highlight the advances DUSA has made in recent times on this subject, including recognition in Parliament, and the Department of Health.

Chris Bustin, Deputy President, said:

"Having already had national recognition for our work in this area, this is a tremendous opportunity for the Students' Association to now lead international opinion."

Matthew Marr, President, said:

"Both Chris and Kathy have put in a great deal of work on this issue, allowing us to not only help Dundee University students, but also hopefully others across the country.

"The invitation to speak at this conference is further justification of the time invested in these policies and practises."
