The flab-fighting character Bridget Jones will form the basis of the second University of Dundee workshop on female body image this Saturday, March 16.
"Bridget's Workout", part of the Dundee Women's performing art festival, takes place in the meeting room of Dundee Contemporary Arts from 10am to 1pm.
Dr Gail Low and Dr Marion Wynne-Davies from the University's Department of English will be joined by consultant psychologist Linda Preliving to lead a discussion on the stereotypes surrounding the way women's bodies are portrayed in film and literature, including Bridget Jones' Diary.
Participants of the free workshop are invited to bring in texts and pictures of their choice to contribute to a collage reflecting the themes discussed during the free workshop.
