Twenty two potential mature students have just completed the largest discovering degrees course at the University of Dundee. Run by the highly successful Wider Access Study Centre, the four day course has given students a taste of University life and advice on how to get the qualifications and the cash to finance their studies.
All participants declared that they intended to pursue higher education after the course. Course organiser and Director of the Wider Access Study centre Dr John Blicharski was delighted with the response: "It is vital to arm people with all the information they need to make the important decision to embark on higher education. Our discovering degrees course has provided all available expertise and information to our participants. We hope to see then all back to embark on degrees in the near future."
After a busy week visiting all University departments the participants were presented with a certificate by Vice Principal Professor David Swinfen for completing the course.
