Successes for Access School
The University of Dundee's Access Summer School has attracted a record-breaking 101 entrants,
all striving to earn a place to study at the University of Dundee.
Now in its thirteenth year, the 10-week course, which entrants complete to earn an undergraduate
place at the University, has seen a 38% increase on last years intake.
Universities UK, the nationwide representative body for universities will also feature the Access
course as a UK example of best practice in widening participation to higher education later this
year.
Course Director, Dr John Blicharski, explains, "To date, the Access summer course has helped 951
students prepare and qualify for undergraduate study at the University. A number of these students
who joined the University through the Access programme will enjoy next week when they graduate
from the University."
