The teaching of Pharmacology at the University of Dundee has been ranked among the best in the UK by a recent survey ranking all subject teaching areas in UK universities.
The Guardian newspaper ranked the Department of Pharmacology in the top three pharmacology departments in the country. This is the latest addition to a list of accolades in teaching and research for Pharmacology and closely follows the excellent 5* rating achieved by the department in the 2001 national research assessment exercise.
Professor Jerry Lambert, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Neuroscience at the University of Dundee said: "I am delighted that the quality of our teaching has been recognised by this influential survey. This is yet further proof of the growing international reputation Dundee has for medical research and education".
The University of Dundee achieved six subjects areas which made the top ten lists in the same league table. The other departments are Anatomy, Psychology, Town and Regional Planning, Hospitality, and Biosciences.
