The world's leading authority in eye movement research paid a flying visit to the University of Dundee today.
Psychologist Professor Keith Rayner has been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards for his work in the eye movement field, which is a key area of research for increasing our basic understanding of how the brain works. Professor Rayner is also a former editor of the Journal of Experimental Psychology. He dropped in to the Psychology department, after attending a conference in France, to act as External Examiner for student Robin Hill's PhD.
The eye movement laboratory in Dundee, founded by Professor Alan Kennedy in 1976, is now one of the largest and most productive in the UK. Dundee will host a major eye movement conference in August of this year, with 200 delegates from all over the world.
