A new display highlighting the quality and variety of Scottish printmaking in the 20th century is now on show at the University of Dundee's Tower Foyer Gallery.
Included are works by leading artists Elizabeth Blackadder, Ian Fleming and Alexander Moffat. All the examples shown come from a bequest to the University by the Scottish Arts Council and the exhibition has been mounted by Curator of Museum Services Matthew Jarron.
In 1997, the Scottish Arts Council decided to distribute their collection of post-war Scottish art to registered museums and galleries around the country.
The University of Dundee Museum Collections (now Museum Services) were awarded over 175 works, and it was decided that these would form the basis of an Archive held in the University's Visual Research Centre at DCA.
The VRC Archive is open to the public by appointment call 01382 348060. To find out more about the University Museum Services, visit their website at www.dundee.ac.uk/museum
