All the students at the University of Dundee's Dental School have passed their course another record year for the school and yet another pair of white gloves for the Dean!
Following a dental tradition, when all the students in the year pass their final exams, the successful class present the Dean with a pair of white gloves.
For the current Dean Professor Bill Saunders this is the second time in his three years as Dean where the whole class have passed and successfully graduated a rare achievement in any dental school.
Professor Saunders says: "The dental school is delighted that our students have done so well. I am particularly pleased with the excellent results as this is the second time in my Deanship and it reflects the dedication of our students and staff."
All 47 dental students will graduate in the Caird Hall on Thursday 10 July at 10.30am.
Another first for the dental school this will be the first year and the only University in Scotland to graduate dental hygenists.
All ten students passed the final exams and will become diplomates of the University of Dundeeon Thursday 10 July. They are all going on to jobs they have already secured.
There has been a School of Dental Hygiene in the Dental Hospital for a number of years but it is only in the last academic year that the Diploma has become a University award.
