Cupar twins Sandra and Karen Lochhead (21) will graduate from the University of Dundee next week with a degree apiece in chemistry.
The twins, who studied for their degrees together, helping each other with their lab work and projects will graduate, one after the other, at the Caird Hall, Dundee on Friday 12 July at 10.30am.
Both girls are planning to pursue a career in chemistry and intend to start their PhD courses this autumn. Karen will be studying for her PhD in solid state nuclear magnetic resonance with Dr Charles Lloyd at the University of Dundee Dental School. This technique indicates what is going on inside a solid and is used to investigate fillings in dentistry.
Sandra is hoping to go further afield and study for her PhD in environmental analytical chemistry in New Orleans, USA.
