University welcomes 200 new nurses

Lord Provost John Letford welcomes 200 new student nurses to the University of Dundee today.

The January intake of student nurses matriculate at the Bonar Hall today, and will be welcomed by Mr Letford and Professor James Calderhead, Vice-Principal of the University.

Following the welcome event and matriculation in the Bonar Hall, the new nursing students move on to the Dundee University Students' Association building in Airlie Place to learn about the many services on offer at the university throughout their student life.

The University welcomes two intakes of student nurses every year, one in January and the other in September. Their studies last for three years.
