After the overwhelming response to his last appeal, International Officer Neil Christie is hoping that the generosity of University staff will benefit his latest campaign - to take boots to children in Nairobi.
Neil is traveling to Nairobi in February, where he will visit an orphanage and a self help school that provide food and education for slum children.
He said, "The school has identified that the donation which would make the greatest difference is children's boots. During the rainy season, the slum area of Nairobi becomes unimaginably muddy. Boots would not only provide comfort but also protect the children from all manner of disease. The children are aged between five and ten and each pair donated really will make a difference."
Donations should be left for Neil at the Admissions and Student Recruitment offices at Airlie Place by Friday February 13. Contact him on n.z.christie@dundee.ac.uk.
