Dundee-based, internationally renowned guitarist Allan Neave will join the acclaimed Scottish Flute Trio to give an evening concert at the University of Dundee on Thursday, January 16.
The Scottish Flute Trio is a unique ensemble, rapidly achieving a reputation for original and accessible performances of new repertoire and for bringing new audiences to contemporary music. Composers who have written for this virtuoso ensemble include Edward McGuire, Thea Musgrave and Gordon McPherson.
They have broadcast live from the Edinburgh Festival for Radio 3, released a CD called "Feasibility Studies", toured Scotland playing with a percussionist as well as appearing at the RSAMD Glasgow, the Windermere Flute Festival and the Guildhall in London.
The concert begins at 7.30pm in the University Chaplaincy Centre, Cross Row.Tickets are priced £6 (£4 concessions, £2 student/unemployed) and are available from the Central Booking Office - 01382 434940.
