CBI Chairman to supercoach students

University of Dundee students are being treated to a talk from the CBI Scotland Chairman, Melfort Campbell as part of the successful Enterprise Gym initiative.

Professor Jane Bower, Centre for Enterprise Management, says, "Melfort Campbell has had a very exciting entrepreneurial career as the founder and CEO of a group of companies operating internationally in the energy, power generation and defence industries. His achievements range from innovative solutions to marine logistics problems to winning major contracts to service Trident missiles. Melfort has always played an active role in supporting entrepreneurship teaching at Universities and acts as a mentor to many academic spinout founders. In his current role of Chairman of the Scottish branch of the Confederation of British Industries (CBI Scotland) he has a strong voice at the heart of Government in Scotland and the UK. He will be sharing some of his experiences at the Enterprise Gym, but he will also be looking for feedback from the audience to inform his discussions with Government. This is an opportunity to hear a great business story, and also for students to get their message across."

The Enterprise Gym is a unit within the Centre for Enterprise Management at the University of Dundee. It aims to improve the employability of students by promoting an awareness of and an interest in business enterprise and helping to develop entrepreneurial knowledge and skills through the provision of a dynamic, integrated, community-based learning environment.
